We are required by public health to declare when our home or an area in our home has an outbreak or suspected outbreak of Covid-19, influenza, or influenza like illness. Outbreak management guidelines from the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness and the District Health Authority public health services are followed. Several precautions are taken to prevent the spread of infection and germs; therefore, restrictions such as a unit or facility lockdowns may be put in place for the safety of our residents.
